Here's the beginning ...

In January this year I started running. There was definitely more mud and crawling in Hell and Back but it was the trigger. Once I got over the shock that just cause I could walk did not mean I could run, I started loving it. Ran a few 5 and 10k races and did well for a newbie.
But Miss Impatience needed a bigger challenge.
In May I signed up for a sprint triathlon at the beginning of August. Loads of time.
Swim, I can do the breast stroke with my head out of the water. Bike, hmmm, need to borrow. And sure I can run properly now. My simple thinking before I pressed send on confirmation for the entry.

Thus started my jump into a summer of amazing challenges and when chlorine became my perfume.

By the way, a friend laughed when I told him I was doing a triathlon, He said 'You don't like getting your hair wet'
